LPC SUPERVISION

LPC Supervisor Dr. Bernis Riley.

SoulCare Counseling is a Christian counseling center practicing Emotionally Focused Therapy. All of our counselors and interns are born-again, Bible believing, evangelical Christians. They also subscribe to attachment theory and desire to learn the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) model. If you are a graduate student intern in your practicum semester and working towards an LPC or you are an LPC-associate seeking supervision, and that is the kind of counseling practice you would like to be a part of, we invite you to apply for LPC supervision at SoulCare.

Our co-founder and clinical director, Dr. Bernis Riley, is a Texas board-approved supervisor for both graduate student interns and LPC-associates. She has been in private practice since 2009. She is certified in EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and is an EFT supervisor-in-training. Her preferred theory of orientation is attachment theory. All interns/associates are required to learn the basic tenets of attachment theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy while under her supervision. All graduate student interns must also be on a track for licensure as an LPC.

The supervision fee for LPC-associates is $100.00 per individual supervision session.  Supervision fees for graduate student interns (practicum students) are $75.00 per individual supervision. Supervision consists of two individual meetings per month and two group meetings per month. Group supervision is $50.00 per intern. All supervision is 50 minutes. Please note that these rates are subject to change without written notice on this website. For current supervision availability and rates, and to learn more about supervision at SoulCare Counseling, contact Dr. Bernis Riley.

Dr. Riley is also an approved EFT supervisor-in-training for licensed counselors/therapists who are seeking certification in EFT.  Those who have completed an externship and are in the process of completing Core Skills, or who have completed Core Skills, are welcome to come under Dr. Riley's EFT supervision as part of the certification requirements.  Review of videos and discussion of client cases are part of the supervision process.  This supervision for EFT certification can be done in person or via video conferencing.  For more information, contact Dr. Riley by clicking here.  Dr. Riley is a founding member of the North Texas EFT Community.  She is also an active member of ICEEFT (International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy).
